Guess the Word — Crack the Five-Letter Code in Six Tries

A secret five-letter word is hiding on the board. Can you figure it out in six guesses? Type any five-letter word and hit Enter: every letter lights up to tell you how close you are. A letter in the right spot turns green, a letter that belongs in the word but sits in the wrong place turns yellow, and letters that aren't in the word at all fade out on the on-screen keyboard. Use those clues, think hard, and zero in on the answer!

Guess the Word isn't a one-and-done puzzle — it's a run. Solve a word and a new one appears right away. The faster you crack it, the more points you earn: nail it on your first try for the maximum bonus, or take all six rows for a smaller reward. But watch out: a timer bar keeps you moving, and if you run out of guesses, your run is over and your total score is locked in. The words start easy (apple, horse, train) and get trickier the longer you survive, so every run is a fresh challenge.

This is a fantastic spelling and vocabulary workout for kids in 3rd grade and up.
