Kindergartners can hardly sit still in December, so this free 12-page Christmas Activity Book keeps every page short, visual, and doable without much help. It is the kind of packet a teacher can hand out on the last morning before break and a parent can print at 7 a.m. on Christmas Eve.

Inside the book:

• Counting — color the right number of Christmas pictures.
• Patterns — decide which shape comes next and draw it in the empty box.
• Christmas Maze — help Santa find the present, from start to finish.
• Mirror Drawing — draw the other half of a star.
• Find the Odd One Out — spot the picture that is different and color it in.

Midway through, an Activity page sends kids to Mokifun to play Christmas Lights and record their score. It is a nice built-in break, and the score box gives them a number to try to beat next time.

The skills match a typical kindergarten December: counting to 12, extending patterns, comparing one more and one less, visual discrimination, symmetry, and fine-motor control. It works as morning work in the last week before winter break, a station at a classroom Christmas party, a quiet-time folder at home, or something to do on the drive to Grandma's.
