Reading, addition, and a two-player game on one festive packet: this free 14-page Christmas Activity Book is built for 7- and 8-year-olds who need more than a coloring sheet in the run-up to the holidays. It kicks off with a page of Christmas Fun Facts, and the puzzles that follow reuse that vocabulary so the reading pays off.

Language puzzles include a Word Search whose leftover letters spell a secret word, a Word Scramble of Christmas words, and a Code Breaker in which each symbol stands for a letter. Math shows up as Secret Message (solve the problems, then use the answers to crack the code) and a Math Pyramid where each box is the sum of the two below it. A Patterns page asks kids to find the rule and complete the empty boxes.

For lighter moments there is a Christmas Maze, a Mandala to color, and Dots and Boxes — the classic pencil game for two, with the rules printed at the bottom of the page.

Three Activity pages link to Mokifun. Kids play Word Race and record how fast they found the words, and twice in the book they play Math Monkey and write down how many problems they got right. Two Math Monkey boxes make progress visible from the start of the packet to the end.
