Which tree drops acorns, and which one drops chestnuts? That question is at the heart of the Matching page in this 14-page Fall Activity Book for 4th graders, and it sets the tone: a little bit of science, a lot of multiplication, and plenty of word play, all free to print.

Everything begins with Fall Fun Facts. Students read the facts, then prove they remember them in a Word Scramble, a Code Breaker (each symbol stands for a letter), and a Word Search where the leftover letters spell a secret word. The Matching page has them pair each tree with its seed or nut — oak, maple, pine, and more.

Math takes center stage with the Multiplication Maze: solve the problems and color the correct path from start to end. Only the right answers lead through. Secret Message follows the same idea with a code to unlock, and a 9×9 Sudoku rounds out the logic section. Dots and Boxes is included as a two-player pencil game with the rules on the page, and a detailed fall Mandala offers a relaxing coloring break.

Two pages send kids online. "Go to mokifun.com and play: Math Monkey" — they play Math Monkey on Mokifun and record how many problems they got right. Later, they play Word Race and note how fast they found the words. Both games are quick, so the tie-in works even in a 15-minute classroom window.

What 4th graders practice here: multiplication facts through 12, mental math, close reading, vocabulary, spelling, deductive reasoning, and a bit of life science. The variety makes it easy to hand out as a fall-break packet, use in a sub folder, or keep as a "done early?" option in the classroom.

The PDF is formatted for US Letter and prints cleanly in black and white. Print one copy per student — the mazes and codes are much more fun when the answers are not already filled in next to you.
